The 2025 Kia K4 Looks To Be One Unique Ride

South Korean automaker Kia will replace their Kia Forte sedan with a new car, the K4, which they will unveil at the New York Auto Show on March 27, with the new car’s final design getting its reveal on March 21, according to a report from Motor1.

The 2025 Kia K4

While the 2025 Kia K4 shares some design tropes with the automaker’s K3 model, it significantly differs from the Forte it’s replacing. Moreover, the Kia K3 is unavailable in the United States, and Kia has yet to make plans to bring it stateside. So, the K4 will be new for Kia in North America.

Motor1 reports that the 2025 Kia K4 will come with “droopy” Cadillac-style lights and rear pillars, which hide the rear passenger door hands. Their report also cites the use of quarter glass to further “hide” the door handles in the quarter paneling. It’s an off-kilter approach to vehicle design. But that’s what Kia is going for these days, according to Motor1.

Motor1 also speculates in their report that the K4 will be a larger vehicle than the outgoing Forte while hoping that the new sedan will be similar in price to the Forte since it’s one of the few cars in the US that sells for around $20,000.

A report from Motor Trend speculates that Kia will manufacture the K4 with sheet metal that is different from Forte’s while also using significantly better quality material for the new sedan’s interior. This means that the Kia K4 will have plenty of new tech and comfortable amenities available to consumers. However, Kia has yet to announce the various trim options for the 2025 K4 or if the Forte’s two powertrain options will pop up in the K4. Kia could make the K4 a hybrid.

Whichever direction the South Korean automaker has decided to go with the 2025 K4, we’ll find out soon when they unveil it in New York at the end of the month.
